after work went to medicine creek to fish.
this time i fished right next to the bridge. it was alot easier to get next to the water.. there were stone in the hill side which made it easier to get down. there were large metal rods sticking up out of the concreat so it was kind of dangerouse..
after about 20 min i Hooked into a nice carp. it ran down stream i tried to keep my line out of the near by trees... as i got the fish in closer i realised it had gotten tangle up in a bush ..... i tried to muscle the fish out... then my real messed up.. it wouldnt put line on the real and got all tangled up so i tried to undo the line and the fish ran back down stream..luckly getting free its self from the bush and then i had to pull the fish in by hand....

Going for a few hours in the after noon depending on how much the babie cries.... :(
got to go for about an hour ended up fishing in medicine creek. by the bridge. i saw several 5-8 pound carp jumping out of the water along the shore. I also saw one small gar about 9 inches and a bass about 11in. i did catch one blue gill about the size of my fly on accident.

Never fished for carp before, didn't realize how big they were until a signed up at the carphunter group. Sooooo.... mixed up a batch of bait from bedlem's posts and went fishing. Landed a 10lb carp first time out....since I didn't know anything about them, just had my bass rod and 15lb test with a small mitchell reel. Wow...that was a fight.

Technology has helped anglers tremendously over the years. Weather it be fish finders, underwater cameras or the tech that goes into creating top notch rod and reels. But more recently, there have been a lot of fishing apps coming out that are extremely powerful tools for all anglers. There are apps that provide solunar tables, bass fishing forecasts, help identify fish and teach you how to tie knots. The team at US Fish Finder has also created our own fishing log app to help anglers keep track of their trips and catches in a simple to use interface. The Fish Nuggets App automatically captures location and weather for your catch while you just need to enter the species. The app is currently available as a beta release so make sure to check it out.
